ALTO: Creating Actions & Combines

Apr 5, 2019 | FAQ/Support, Insights, Support

This video reviews the steps to create and manage Actions & Combines in ALTO.

Creating Actions (and assigning Metrics) allows you to (1) categorize your Archives and (2) ensure the correct Metrics are displayed. For example, you may want Jump Height for a Countermovement Jump Action, Reactive Strength Index for a Rebound Jump, and Stance Width for a Driver Swing.

Combines are a set of sequenced, linked recordings. They are still recorded and saved as separate Archives, but are associated as a group. This allows you to efficiently record custom tests (i.e. ACLR Return to Play, baseline jump tests, golf combines) easily and manage them in Archives effectively. The Combine tool also makes the recording experience more efficient, as once selected, ALTO will take you through your Combine in sequence. No need to restart the recording process.
